Day 83/366

Stuck in a cobweb.

Day 82/366

A great Op Shop find - a $2.00 wall hanging.  My daughter loves anything Japanese so this is now hanging on her bedroom door...much nicer than the "Do not even think of knocking" sign.  Teenagers!  :)

Day 81/366

I love the look of this Chilli plant, the chillis remind me of Christmas lights.  So many colours on the one plant.

Day 80/366

Machine embroidery on 2 out of 3 panels completed :)

Day 79/366

Working on my Mum's birthday quilt

Day 78/366

A cat can't have a rest without some woman with a camera

Day 71/366

A glorious weekend after lots of rain.  The garden is a jungle so today a spot of weeding is in order.  This lot is from one border, note Coco taking advantage of the shade :)

Day 68/366

Sushi!! Yum, yum, yum.  I could eat it everyday.  My darling hubby called into where I was working to give me this treat for lunch today. :))

Day 67/366

Every Wednesday night I meet with some crafty friends for a night of sewing and chat.  Sometimes we work on the same project, but we mostly work on our own separate projects.  I made this pencil case last night from my scrap stash to replace one that suffered from a leaky red pen.

Day 66/366

My elderly mum-in-law has just moved to a nursing home, so we have been busy settling her in and packing up her home to sell. She and her late husband collected many treasures from the 4 different countries they lived in. This beautiful carved head is just one of these treasures. We think it may be from Penang, Malaysia.

Day 65/366....Chocolate!!

It may look like a giant doughnut, but is actually a chocolate cake. I was looking around for some sprinkles to complete the doughnut look, but was told they were all used for Fairy Bread ...in a house full of teenagers???

Day 64/366

Another UFO unearthed! This is a panel in the style of the Tivaeve Quilts from the Cook Islands (which is kind of like Hawaiian quilting I think) that was taught to me by my sister-in-law who spent time over there. It was going to be a cushion, but we sure don't need another cushion so I think I might bind it and make a table topper/runner as our Family Room is in browns and blues.

Day 63/366

Ahem, well this is more than one photo, but I just had to share the first complete panel of my Mum's 70th birthday quilt.  I am going to machine quilt some flowers and swirls in the spaces before I move on to the next panel.  Apologies for the crinkles, I just threw it on the floor to take a photo in the excitement of finishing the panel :)

Day 62/366

The first of our Autumn roses, rescued before the grasshoppers munched it.

Day 61/366

After being without a camera for a couple of days my daughter kindly lent me her Olympus Tough TG 310. She also has a Nikon Coolpix, but lost the charger, so I just went on Ebay and ordered one for $22.99. Then the Nikon will be mine....and it's pink,  so I am extra happy :)
Anyway the Olympus has a couple of cool effects, this pic is using Pop Art and it is of a piece of machinery in the factory of one of my clients.
